David is the owner and oversees the crew. He talks in a kind of rambling way, so you think maybe he is not focusing on the job, but that is not true. he has a lot of experience. We hired him to oversee a driveway replacement and install a new storm drain. In everything we asked for, he delivered. He somehow took it all in, and gave us a smooth sloping driveway that is like silk to drive up on. He didn't promise it would never crack, because concrete cracks, but he did finish all the details, like the driveway lip, the entryway pad, working around the water lines and meter box, to our satisfaction. I hope I don't have to do this again, because it was a lot of work and disruption, but he knows driveways and drainage and did a superior job. His office manager, Christine, is outstanding.

Low initial bid, but then price increased significantly. Reasons for increase included "I forgot you wanted the sidewalk done too" (despite it was written on bid that was made one day after site visit), and "Well, you can always have someone else do it." I paid for 1/2 inch rebar, 6 inch depth but they tried to install 3/8 inch rebar and much shallower depth. Despite charging $1200 for coloring (which I could buy retail for $350) they used the cheap stuff that faded to total white in less than a year. I had to file a complaint with the licensing board which then forced them to complete the job. I sent a polite email to negotiate the completion of the job asking for any reasonable counter offer and the owner called, told me he was going to put a lien on my house and turn me over to collections and hung up. Diamond Certified means absolutely nothing- they refused to help me despite the fact that Kodiak never contradicted any of my claims. I dug a hole to show the Bobcat driver where the main water line was so he wouldn't hit it. Next morning he hits it anyway, flooding my driveway and leaving me without water until I could fix it. Final workmanship on the driveway was excellent (other than the fading color), so bottom line is that workers are skilled at their craft, but management leaves much to be desired.
