Paid to find the cause of a dashboard "check engine" light that keeps coming on. More than $2,000. paid and the "check engine" light keeps coming on after repairs. Excuses from the service advisors are that the tech is "back" (backed up), from one service advisor, and "we have 80 cars in the lot to service" from another service advisor. Also, printed on the paper receipts are that the vehicle was road tested (driven) for 10 miles on one receipt, and 15 miles on another receipt. I suspect it is mostly a mechanic's problem.
