Their maintenance costs for landscaping are quite high considering 30-minute or less visits a couple times a month run hundreds of dollars or more in bills from them. They charge lawyer-like fees for much less skilled work and very little time invested.
We also had them come in for an initial consultation about what we could do with a back yard and ended up paying hundreds for a long appointment in which our consultant rambled a lot and didn't get at the ballpark information we were looking for to get a really basic idea for directions we could take. Meanwhile, I believe many landscaping places will do an initial consult for free and keep it short and sweet while giving you some basic background that you need.
They seem to do a good job with the actual work, but at costs that are quite high for what is actually needed in many cases. If you've just won a big payoff in the lottery or sold your tech startup and price isn't any barrier they may be great as someone to call and get something nice done. On the other hand, when price is a consideration, there seem to be a lot of younger, scrappier people out there that will do a good job and offer much better value.
