Alfredo at ELEM3NTS performed a whole-house energy assessment for us in late September this year. Overall, we are extremely pleased! We have an old house with old appliances and knew we needed to make some improvements to insulation and the HVAC system, but weren't sure where to begin. On top of that, we're interested in improving our energy efficiency and decreasing our consumption, and needed to find someone who could assess the entire home as a system and make us a comprehensive, well-ordered plan for how to get to where we want to be. Alfredo was that person. He and his team came and tested our home for airtightness, heat retention, HVAC system efficiency, and more. They brought specialized equipment, performed an entire battery of tests over a few hours, and later delivered an extremely detailed and comprehensive report that included all the measurements and how we compared to the average home. The report gave us recommendations in every area we were wondering about: air leakages, insulation, heating and cooling equipment and ducting, windows and doors, and the potential for solar - we even got recommendations for how we could upgrade our lighting and water systems. Not only did Alfredo provide us with a comprehensive report, he also followed up with a phone call to explain it all in detail and answer all of our questions. He also shared additional resources with us about PG&E energy rebate options, and a list of HVAC contractors for us to consider. All in all, we couldn't be happier - we're now on the path to creating the cozy, efficient home we've been dreaming of. Thank you Alfredo and team!
