I've been to three stylists and one aesthetician, and the experience has been the same for each: it begins with a friendly welcome, then devolves into a robotic, disinterested approach. On my final visit, Peggy stood at her station and called out, "Hey, I'm ready," while I was seated in the reception area about 12 feet away. No use of my name, no courteous stepping into the sitting area to speak to me. Of them all, the best stylist, meaning the one who listened closely and cut my hair as I requested, was the owner, Rosa. Perhaps, it's the fact that I'm only there for a haircut, and not one of the more income earning color application services. But I tip well. In any case, not my go to anymore. The aesthetician is the same. Friendly at first, but then robot-like for succeeding visits. In fact, the so-called facial she gives was incomplete. Just as example: there is a steam machine that is used to soften the skin to make the removal from clogged pores possible. She only used it for one half of my face and by the time we were at the stage that I realized she hadn't placed the equipment on the other side, it was too late and she had progressed to another phase of the so-called treatment.
