Despite the promise of a "lifetime" warranty, my gutters began to fail after 10 years. I requested that LeafGuard inspect the problem, but they told me that unless the gutters were clogged (I have no way of knowing this since the gutters are covered), I would be charged about $390. I reluctantly agreed to this stipulation, but they did not show up on the scheduled day, nor did they call to reschedule or explain why they did not show as promised. I have decided not to deal with this company and will replace my gutters with another brand instead.

A bit expensive but worth the extra money. We had several rainstorms during which my old gutters overflowed and turned into waterfalls. Consumer Reports said Leafguard and similar products (But Leafguard is the only one that totally replaces the gutters.) can't handle large volumes of water and overflow during cloudbursts. Mine were installed at the end of last July. There have been several heavy rainfalls since and not once did my gutters turn into waterfalls, the way the old ones did. Neither were there problems with snowstorms during the winter of 2018 to 2019. My Leafguard gutters are bigger than the gutters they replaced. The installers also connected them to the underground drainage system installed by my landscaper. They have some easy places where they can be cleaned out and the installation people promised to come back if there was ever a problem. Warranty item #2 is a lifetime limited no-clog warranty in which they commit to remove any clog at no cost to me. There is also a lifetime finish warranty. But the workmanship warranty is only for two year. The Leafguard gutters seem studier than standard gutters. The installation crew was very professional as was the salesperson, Marty Schilling.

Installed leafguard gutters and downspouts in Shenandoah Valley home. Work crew was not well trained. Took three visits to get connecting downspouts (from upper roof, along porch roof, down to ground) properly installed. Price was very high and recommend comparison with cost of other systems.

We had LeafGuard gutters installed several years ago. We immediately had numerous problems with water compromising the house that were never successfully resolved. Other reviewers have commented that the LeafGuard system does not work for a flat roof or for a roof with a very steep pitch. Our house has both, and we completely agree. The surface tension physics simply does not hold up against torrential downpours. The company apparently moved (twice), phones were disconnected. Having lost track of them, we considered it our bad luck to have chosen them. Once we decided the gutters had to be replaced, we noticed LeafGuard was now at a Virginia address. They said that the installation was long past the materials warranty. When a carpenter working on the accumulate damage took down a 4' section of gutter and found it filled with sludge, we decided to request, under the "lifetime no-clog guarantee," that they at least take down the old gutters. They seemed to agree, but they day before they were to arrive, they insisted we would have to sign a release and emailed an agreement that would have prohibited us from ever speaking ill about their firm or the LeafGuard product. We decided not to be muzzled, so that family, friends, and other consumers would not experience the same problems.
