I received a failed safety inspection on my car that I was registering in Maryland for the first time due to a small crack in the windshield. Contacted Safelite in Bethesda and got exceptionally poor treatment and service. First, the manager at the store insisted that Maryland would never pass a safety inspection with repaired cracks, and that I had to have a full replacement. I later found out from both MDOT and other repair shops that this was false. This shop did a full windshield replacement. The day after picking up the car, there was leaking on the windshield and a new rattling noise. When I took it to the Bethesda shop, they insisted there was nothing wrong, and that is was likely my sunroof. Amazing that my sunroof started leaking only after they did their work! I finally had to go to another shop (Chapin Auto Glass in Arlington) to have them look at it. They found that the windshield had been improperly glued, so badly that it was a significant safety risk in a collision (the windshield could easily fly off and insure someone). Had to get another replacement, so paid twice. Chapin Auto Glass BTW is great (I'm adding a very good review for them). But Safelite Bethesda was awful. An arrogant, condescending manager and a defective replacement. Go elsewhere.
