The company showed me a sample and gave me a price for fiber cement siding but installed vinyl that looked somewhat similar. When I complained, they showed me that they had written the contract for the product that they installed. I asked to see the sample that I had been shown and they would not do it. Ultimately they reduced the price but I ended up paying more than $4000 more than I would have if I had gotten the vinyl from another company. Bottom line: make sure that the contract is for the exact product you think it is for.
