Rudy showed up at the house with a pencil and notebook. There was no intense sales pitch. He just walked through the house with me looking at the floors and explaining exactly what would happen and how to approach repairs. His advice was perfect and the floors look incredible.
The work took five days, but we told him he could take his time (we weren't living in the house yet). I think the work could get done faster if needed. At first, we tried to avoid replacing too many damaged planks because the budget was tight. Rudy made sure to stain samples of the floor before completing the work so we could see our options. When we wanted lighter floors, he advised replacing certain additional planks where the stains were really bad. I'm so glad we spent a little extra money, because it looks like the floors are brand new. In my experience, most contractors want to finish a job quickly and move on to the next one. Rudy was willing to give us options and make sure we got our dream floors (we did!).
I don't know why Kustom Floors isn't already on Consumer Checkbook. Hire Rudy to restore (or replace) your floors. I promise you won't regret it.
