We had someone from Window Nation come in late May 2019 to give us a quote on replacing two basement windows. He quoted us what we thought was a great price ($1100), and also said we could get interest-free financing. When he left, he said we could expect a written estimate via e-mail within a few days. When we received it (from someone else in the office), the estimate was over $1500 and financing option was at 6.99%. When I pointed out the difference, the response was that the gentleman who had come to our house was a new employee and had made a mistake. I pushed back, pointing out that an employee's mistake was not our fault. Window Nation responded a day or two later offering us $1300, but absolutely no lower. In the end, we went with a company that was slightly higher ($1400) because is rated higher on Checkbook and because the process to get a quote was so much smoother. I sent an email to Window Nation to express my disappointment that they were unwilling to absorb that additional $200 as the cost of training a new employee. Instead, they burdened me as a prospective customer by throwing the new employee under the bus, then expected that me to accept the mistake. I pointed out that, had they honored their original quote, they could have had me as a repeat customer when I needed to get the rest of my windows replaced, and also that I always post my opinions where it counts as well as refer good contractors. I requested that management see my email. I never received another response. All for two lousy windows and a few hundred dollars. Bad business strategy, in my opinion. And a waste of my time.

Had Window Nation replace our bow window with a large triple-pane bay window. Their price was fair ~$6K and competitive with all the other window replace firms we researched. The installers did a good job and picked up after themselves. The 0% financing for 12 months worked out well for us too. We love the window and would consider using Window Nation for the next window replacement.
