Buyer Beware! Stay away! I had an extremely negative experience with ARS/Rescue Rooter when they came to my elderly in-laws' house after their A/C unit went out. They initially proposed replacing the unit at a cost of $18,000. After a grueling three-hour hard sell, they said they would do it for $15,500 if the entire amount was paid at contract signing, which is illegal in Maryland. ARS/Rescue Rooter is an unscrupulous company that preyed upon my 80-year-old father-in-law. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the check, void the contract, and hire an honest company that installed the same brand for $10,500. I strongly advise avoiding ARS/Rescue Rooter at all costs.
