Misdiagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss. Told I had bilateral ear infection and given antibiotics, which didn’t relieve my symptoms. I was not asked about the cold I had for days. An ENT told me there were no signs of ear infections. The sudden sensineuranal hearing loss was due to the virus from my cold and I should have been treated with steroids immediately. There was a good potential of some permanent hearing loss afterwards and I would need a eating aid.
