We had a horrible experience working with Granite works and will not recommend this company to anyone. We selected a quartz countertop with their sales rep (Evan and Snell), we paid the 70% deposit and were told that the countertop will be installed within 1 week after the measurement. They could not deliver the countertop even 3 weeks after the measurement as their supplier didn't have it in stock, and they could not even give us a timeframe for when it will be in stock. So we asked to give our deposit back. At this point, they said they will deduct 30% from the deposit as a contract cancellation fee! and refused to give our full deposit back or give a timeframe of when they will be able to install the countertop. Fortunately, we paid using a credit card. Our credit card company was able to dispute the charges on our behalf and get a judgement in our favour. But we had to go thru a lot of stress and paperwork just because we had $5,500 at risk (70% deposit) and our kitchen remodeling project was stuck indefinitely incurring us additional contractor expenses and huge inconvenience. Please be careful working with this company. If you do decide to work, please ensure you modify the contract with a clause that gets your deposit back if the company is unable to provide the service within the acceptable timeframe. Their current contract has no such protection for customers. And from our experience, we can tell that Granite Works will not act ethically in difficult situations. Also, always use a credit card for payments as it provides additional safety and protection for the customers in such situations.

They first sent out a tile guy who had no tools.. He had to the store and buy what he needed. Then he made a huge mess. I felt I knew more about the job than he did... The replacement person they sent completed the job . It was all a bad dream.
