Riderwood is a first-rate community with loads of amenities and friendly, caring staff and residents. As a large institution, administrative issues can be slow to resolve and it is sometimes hard to know which staff member/office to talk to about what, but these disadvantages are outweighed by the overall quality of the residences and services and activities offered. It's a friendly, positive environment to grow old in.

Even though Riderwood is very good, it is important to have an outside person keeping an eye on things. We had two problems: my mother was given a medication that was too strong for her and no one noticed; and her room became very warm and though the staff felt comfortable, my mother was flushed and hot. They corrected both issues immediately.
