Scheduling appointments is very poor. Apparently, they don’t have sufficient numbers of technicians so wait times are greater than 2 weeks for a repair even when medical urgency is an issue. It is not unusual to have an appointment and then they reschedule it for a later time/date without even talking to you first.

Home Service Plus was advised that this was a medical emergency for household and yet it took 4 phone calls before a expedited appointment was established. Third rep did not seem to understand "medical emergency" (as has been noted on profile for a number of years) should not have necessitated the equivalent of calling a doctor's office and describing the issues for a clinic appointment. Representative kept asking same questions over and over before finally agreeing to process the request for an expedited service call. It was finally transmitted to the proper location, and yet did not get a resolution call (as requested) but instead found it necessary to call back a 4th time to find out that my request had been accepted and appointment set up 1.5 days later. All other parties contacted were more than helpful and polite. (Call center is located in Houston, TX so they are not aware of the conditions Minnesotans are experiencing week of May 25 to June 2 (Poor agent notification proeceure)).

The appointment made on line was 10 days after I made it. Serviceman did not have adequate ladder to go into attic. Used my ladder and after looking in attic refused to go up because it did not have walkway to the equipment. Said it did not meet code. Called Sedgwick and their serviceman came same day and had no problem going in the attic.
