We had them rebuild the top of our chimney. I think the mason probably did good work. But the communication with the company was confusing from the start. And the bid was quite inaccurate - I later found out that the person bidding the work was not a mason. The bid was much lower than what the mason said we actually needed to fix the chimney. After discussing with the mason I thought we'd come to an agreement about the scope of the work, but the work that was done didn't align with what I thought we'd be getting. (lesson learned; get any bid updates in writing) It was a frustrating process. And they left huge streaks of cement dust on the house that I haven't been able to get off with repeated scrubbing.
