My dentist referred me to Dr. Krupp for my first (and hopefully last!) root canal - which ended up being 3 roots in the same tooth (which had a crown on it). He cleaned up the roots and also restored the crown so I wouldn't have to return to my dentist. I never needed to order the pain medication he prescribed (just in case), and, in fact, was soon relieved of the toothache I had suffered prior to the procedure. I appreciate his thoroughness and competent care, as well as the kindness and competence of his assistant and office staff. They all made an uncomfortable procedure much more tolerable. I do wish they had advised me before the appointment to bring an audio device with headphones to help pass the time (I passed on their offer of bulky headphones and limited music selection). If you must see an endodontist, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Krupp.
