I can't praise Dr. Singh and her office staff, which includes her husband as receptionist and bookkeeper, enough for how personally and warmly they treat us (me and my wife) every time we come in. It is not a high-tech, glitzy office, but rather an older office in one of Berkeley's older downtown buildings. I have never felt that they seek to exploit me financially, and I often wonder if they make an adequate living. Yet they take as long as necessary to discuss our treatment at length to make sure we understand our alternatives. I believe they keep up with the latest treatment techniques and knowledge, and collaborate liberally with specialists to whom they make referrals, while never seeking to appear this way superficially. Their hygienist is also a dentist with his own separate practice but works as a hygienist for them once a week. I highly recommend Dr. Singh and her staff.

My rating applies only to routine cleaning and inspection, as performed by Dr. Stephan Lee. It is notable that Dr. Lee is a dentist with his own practice in Oakland and works as a hygienist in Dr. Singh's office one day a week. I appreciate the fact that he does not use the (uncomfortable) Cavitron device to remove plaque, but does this procedure by hand. Some years ago Dr. Singh replaced a large filling that was crumbling due to old age. She did a good job.
