These categories just cannot describe the awful experience that we had with them. The final result is very nice except for several spots in the master bedroom. The list of faults along the way are long. Essentially, there is no communication between their sales people and the actual floor re-finishers. Almost everything she explained to us did not happen. The timing was all wrong. We scheduled the work over a holiday weekend when we were planning to be away for 4 days. She indicated that they would work most of that time and should be able to get the work done. When they called to pick the start date, they wanted to back it up two days. We needed access to the upstairs for the first night, which she promised would be fine, but caused the workers not to come that day! We specifically requested a low VOC finish and it was perfectly obvious they did not use the correct product. We had several scratches on the second floor, which she said they could get out without any trouble. We came home before they had put the final coat on to find that the scratches were still there. We insisted they fix them, which they did but did not re-apply the stain to that area, so now we have light spots throughout the master bedroom. Fortunately, the rest of the floors look great!

AHF installed new hardwood floors in a renovated area of my house adjacent to existing (60-yr-old) hardwood floors. They sanded & stained both old & new, adjusting the stain on the new with the result that it matches the old perfectly.
