Great experience with Pro Computers. Had a really slow laptop ( internet and programs would open real slow or not all all). After talking to a few Checkbook highly-rated contractors, one diagnosed it over the phone and told me it was due to my 2020 HP laptop which was outfitted with a spinning disk drive platter. Said it would probably be much more money than we ultimately paid to Pro Computers to replace it with a solid state hard drive. When we brought in the laptop, the technician looked at the laptop and concluded the same thing. He then offered to bump up the RAM, from 12 to 16, which would also increase the speed. He didn't try to upsell, as we hardly used any HD space and instead sold us a solid state HD which was actually smaller and less expensive, based on our storage use. He promised it the next day and the other technician, Katie transferred our data and had it ready the next evening. She even replaced the screws and put in new ones to fix the broken hinge on the laptop cover at no charge (actually the whole bill came out to less than his estimate, a pleasant surprise) Their prices are fair and the computer runs very fast now. Totally satisfied - they even have a cage next to the shop where you can recycle any electronic equipment (run by Fairfax County), - very convenient and easy.

My computer went blank. I couldn't even get the screen back with Control/Alt/Delete. I took it to Pro Computer and they explained what I'd done wrong and didn't charge me. I insisted on tipping. They cleaned my computer and told me what to do to prevent a recurrence. Great service!
