I contacted three companies to receive quotations to replace my backyard fence. Adirondack was very close to the lowest number. I chose them because of my interaction with their representative, Linda, who came to my house. She was professional, informative, and answered all of my questions. Their process was explained thoroughly. Their crew was amazing. They completed the work in one day. We all met on the day of the work and the work was reviewed with the crew, Linda, and myself. My fence is beautiful and matches my previous fence exactly, as I requested. All communications with all members of the team were outstanding. I never had an easier project, that ran so smoothly, as a homeowner. I give my highest recommendation to Adirondack Fence.

Received written proposals (in the form of draft contracts) from 4 out of 5 companies contacted. Although Adirondack Fence Builders had the best price, they were the only company that refused to provide a proposal stating that I had to commit to hiring them first). They were also the only company that did not do an onsite assessment prior to submitting their email price quote—this is probably how they keep their prices lower as they don't use an estimator. Their email communications are not very timely and they don't answer all of the questions when asked.


Firm's response:
This gentleman and I had 31 emails back & forth and I answered all of his questions and he agreed to hire us but wouldn’t sign a contract. He wanted a COI from my insurance company for workman compensation and general liability which I cannot send without a signed contract. I explained, if he signed the contract we would send the COIs &, someone would come out to verify the measurement. We are a small company and even with three estimators, we still cannot get out to see everyone in person, the reason I gave him an email quote.
