Adirondack Fence Company did a superb job installing my new fence and removing the old fence fence. Linda understood what I wanted and clearly expressed how the work would be done. The workmen were efficient, focused, and never stopped until the job was completed. They even fixed a gate that needed repair. I have never seen such care and concern and follow up on any of my home improvement jobs. This company owned by Rob Darnell is top notch. Great employees and total dedication to the job at hand. I highly recommend Adirondack Fence Company. Bettie Lorino

This is an amended rating from July 2022. Most projects that have problems don't surface immediately. This is one of those situations. My pine fence looked great when finished. However, the gate lock was not lined up correctly, so I could not use it. I just improvised with a zip tie. Now three years later, I notiiced 4 different top boads have warped and poped up. Also, several boards have seperated from the short nails used to connect them. It really looks terrible. I paid just over $10k for this project, and I think it should have lasted longer. I spoke to Rob, the owner who was surprised that I did not have more boards coming apart than I did. He told me that "I should have read my contract." Also, that he is not responsibality for warped boards. I told him I was at fault for trusting him. This is not a reliably company. I own a small business, and would never treat my customers like that. He owes comstomers a heads up that this could happen. My fence looks horrible, and Rob couldn't care less. I only hope consumers read all of the comments noted on this business. Most newly finished projects look great at first, like a new car. But a short ride can open all kinds of defects. DO NOT use this fence company! I have to repair this mess by adding some brackets to hold the post to the fence boards. I will cut the wrapped boards off, replace them with screws, not nails. He should have known better, you always use wooden screws, not nails to secure a wood project. This cost more money, and takes more time. That's why he did did not use screws. I'm a 77 year old women, but I will correct this mistake in his workmanship. I only wish I could attach some pictures of the mess that me, and my neighbors have to look at. Not Recommended at all! Buyer Beware!

Firm's Response:
In July of 2022, we installed 450’ of 5’ tall Solid Board Fence with two single gates in all pressure treated pine for this customer. Our estimator explained during the estimate of the issues that can occur with pressure treated pine and she was offered western red cedar which she declined to use. Shortly after installation, she called about one of the gates not latching properly so we went back and made the adjustment without charge. For three years, there were no other complaints until July 2025, when she requested an estimate for an additional 100 feet of 7-foot Solid Board Fence and mentioned a slight warp in one original 4x4 post. No mention of any other warping or boards coming apart or our workmanship, just the slight warp in one 4x4 post. Our estimator gave her an estimate for the 100’ of 7’ tall fence and she was outraged saying she couldn’t believe the price and we were taking advantage of her. We explained the cost has gone up a bit in 3 yrs and the fact that a 7’ tall fence would be more expensive than a 5’ tall fence. It appears to us that she didn’t get the price she wanted, therefore, the negative review. Our question is this, if you have that many new complaints and you are so dissatisfied, why would you want to hire the same company to build another 100 ft.?
