I'm very impressed with JP Companies. Paulo, the estimator, arrived on time and was explained the complexities of my particular project as well as how JP Companies would address each challenge. The estimate was provided in a timely manner, and Paulo and the office were responsive when I had questions. Installation of the driveway took place 3-4 weeks after I signed the contract; JP Companies were responsive and communicative throughout. They arrived on time, sought feedback on the driveway placement and design prior to starting construction, and worked quickly and thoroughly. When I had questions about the installation, they stopped work, responded quickly and politely, and addressed all my concerns. At the end of the day, the driveway was completed and looked even better than I had hoped. I'm very happy with the work and strongly recommend JP Companies.

JP Companies was the first of several contractors I contacted for estimates on replacing my deteriorating asphalt driveway with a concrete one and rebuilding a small retaining wall. I also wanted estimates on some other projects, including removing two sets of slate steps on both sides of the house and across the front yard. I wanted to see whether it was possible to replace one set of steps with a concrete ramp. The company's response was very prompt. Paulo, one of the two brothers who own the company, was the estimator and he was here within a couple of days. He was very knowledgeable, listened carefully, and made excellent suggestions. One important aspect of our initial discussion was that he questioned the safety of building a ramp because of the sharp incline. He suggested building stairs instead. He helped me to see why my initial plan was not safe. He answered my many questions clearly and patiently that day as he continued to do throughout the entire process. Their price was quite reasonable; as compared with the other bids I received it was mid-range. At my request, Paulo was kind enough to provide different proposals, each based on a different scope of projects. He worked with me on every detail. There was only a small window of time in which I could schedule the work, yet he was able to give me the exact days I asked for. The crew was extremely efficient, organized, pleasant, and they did a masterful job! The work was finished within 1 1/2 days. Paulo was on site both days. He even returned the next day to show me how to water the new concrete to help it cure. Without exception, this was likely the easiest, and definitely the most pleasant, experience I have had with any kind of home improvement in my 26 years as a homeowner. I highly recommend this company!
