I am very disappointed with the service I received from Meadows Farm. I paid a lot of money for very average results. When the plants arrived in the fall, they were obviously not in bloom, and when spring came I realize the plant was not the color I had selected. I actually wonder if they gave me the "wrong" plant as it is much bigger than I thought. Several plants died, and they replaced them per our contract. I also find that the choice of plants offered may not be the best options (I gather that from looking at what some of my neighbors have in their garden). I will not hire Meadows Farms again and I do not recommend them.

Meadows Farms Chantilly has a decent assortment of plants and trees. If you’re nearby, stop in to see if they have what you need but you may not leave inspired.

We hired Meadows Farms to design and install an extensive backyard hardscape and landscape. The actual workers (whom i believe were subcontracted) were hardworking professionals. The Meadows Farms designer was a nightmare; A big talker who had great visions and stayed for hours talking but never actually followed through. Our first day of the big install, he showed up 2 hours late as the workers waited asking us when was he coming. He ordered the wrong ground cover (a multi thousand dollar cost), and hid the fact that his beautifully drawn plan did not include flowers in the very prominent flower garden area (they were additional). The billing office called us before the project was even completed wanting us to pay immediately online before checking to see if we were satisfied and all had been done properly. The subcontracted workers saved the day with their beautiful stonework and work ethic. When i'd point out to the designer that he had put shade plants in the sunny areas and vice versa, he would just shrug and tell me no worries, "just use the one year guaranteed replacement policy if they don't survive." When i checked though, that policy was a real inconvenience to use. We were so relieved when it was mostly over that i just figured I could do the final pieces on my own as long as we didn't have to deal with him any more. The main office was interested in only one thing......pay that bill online the very day the crew left!
