Windows on Washington replaced the door and two double-hung windows at the rear of our house. We were pleased with their service including the sales rep, the folks responsible for detail measurements and ordering, the installers, and the staff in the background of it all. We also appreciated being kept informed when there was a manufacturing delay. The installation team was timely, thorough and neat. We were concerned that there may be hidden damage needing repair and the installer photographed the exposed framing when the door jamb was removed to assure us that there was no hidden rot or damage. We highly recommend Windows on Washington, a local, family-owned small business.

Exceptional company all around. Brandon was our estimator when we replaced all of our windows and patio door and he was very good at giving us options on windows and features but also staying within our budget. The installers were good and fast. Their office staff is very kind and have taken good care of us. No billing problems. Have referred friends and they also report good interactions with their staff and happy with their work.

Overall, we had a mixed experience with the Windows on Washington team. The majority of the staff we worked with were very pleasant and customer-service-oriented, including the owners. But we had a few troubling issues, including: 1. Our delivery/installation time frame ballooned from 8-10 weeks (as agreed to in the contract) to 13 weeks. 2. It turned out to be a two-day job, but no one notified us in advance, so we were unprepared with our work/kid arrangements. We only found out when the crew showed up on site. 3. Half of the crew was inexperienced and seemed to have never installed a window before. This created concerns about the quality of work since the crew lead was busy doing the bulk of the installation. 4. When I called customer service the morning of to express concerns about the two-day installation and limited crew. Was told a higher supervisor would call me back shortly to discuss. No one ever followed up. 5. When I received a call from the customer service team after the job, I expressed my frustration with some of the issues laid out above. The response on the phone was to ask no follow-up questions, just a thank you and goodbye. Now, having listed the complaints -- I followed up with an email detailing these problems and the owner called me personally and listened for 30 minutes while I discussed on the phone. The company gave us a gift certificate to apologize. As for the work itself, I do believe it was well done. While there was a new crew member, the team lead was EXCELLENT and clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He put in extra time at the end to check each window. We've now had the windows for 1.5 years and have not had issues. The sealing still looks good, the windows keep out noise and keep in heat/cooling, and there are no issues with maintenance thus far. In the end, I think we may have been a fluke with some of our issues. I would still recommend this group to others looking for quality windows, workmanship, and warranty.
