We wanted to repair the spalling brick on our 60-year-old chimney. I contacted three well-recommended chimney companies, which proposed wildly different scopes of work, so I contacted Richard Wood Masonry too. Richard took time to explain options. We chose a scope of work that focused on restoring structural integrity. He replaced the cracked crown and selected bricks, resealed loose flashing and the cleaned chimney exterior, and gave us advice for future care. He saved us $8500 compared to the highest bid. We are happy with how the work looks too, including a pretty good match for our odd peach brick. If we need further masonry work, we will contact him again!

Richard thoroughly researched the best method of fixing the failing caulking between our driveway and house. He even contacted other masons whose opinion he respects. The result is excellent. This is the second significant project that he did for us.
