When I enter a store with the intent of looking at electronics or appliances, you better bet that I've done my research and found the best price before even getting in my car and driving over. I recently visited The Big Screen Store after carefully researching the TV I wanted to buy, expecting to browse and potentially purchase a new TV.

I brought my girlfriend with me, hoping to get her opinion on the resolution and appearance of the TV I was strongly considering. Upon entering, we were greeted by an overzealous salesman who did not want to listen to our wishes. We were considering a model that had just dropped in price due to a newer model coming out, so of course the salesman kept pushing a newly released TV with a $4,000 price tag. In spite of letting him know that it was out of our budget and we didn't really care about all of the bells and whistles that this TV included, he just wouldn't drop the sales pitch.

I walked in 100% ready to spend my hard earned money on a TV that they had in stock (less expensive than competitors too) and I walked away out of sheer annoyance with the pressure that was put on us. He would not let us get a word in edgewise, and we were ready to walk out within 5 minutes.

And after we left, my girlfriend mirrored my thoughts exactly; this is NOT the place I would choose to purchase a TV from. Not a good experience. I wound up buying the same TV for slightly more elsewhere, and I was treated with respect.
