We had a great experience! Jackson was our professional technician for The Dryer Vent Guys in Northern Virginia. He was fantastic! He arrived on time with all tools and parts to do the job, inspected and cleaned our dryer and vent system including the upstairs dryer closet, and told us what he was doing each step of the way. Jackson even showed us via a video the cleaned 15-foot dryer vent. He recommended a small cage over the exterior portion of the vent which he installed, and he caulked a small issue he found; this was particularly appreciated since we had bats in the house the previous month and had just finished the rabies protocol, and we have lots of birds around our backyard bird feeders. Clean-up of lint inside and outside was perfect. Everyone I dealt with - office staff and our technician - were so professional and very happy to help us which made the experience dealing with this particular company special. Highly recommend!

Please note: this firm specializes only in Dryer Vents: cleaning, repairs, replacement. Not an air-duct cleaning service. Our circa-1983 townhouse has several anomalies from original builder defects. We are original owners/occupants well-versed in repairs, DYI maintenance, having worked blue-collar trades etc. As we're in our late 60's and now disabled, we call in pros, not handymen or day laborers. We needed a company to entirely replace our defective dryer vent duct system and bring it up to code. Only found one firm that would do it. Did our due diligence, checked license etc. Had heard a radio ad for Dryer Vent Guys. Tho' based in Fredericksburg, their techs are here in Northern Virginia. Our job was difficult, but their two techs did in one day. Clean, neat work. Very respectful and competent. Best of all, we're now able to do laundry at home, versus laundromat! Life-changing for us! Also, everyone we spoke with from office staff, schedulers, field techs, were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. No upselling. Great website, very informative, even if you don't hire them, you'll learn what works and what doesn't. We do not post on social media, preferring to rate for CHECKBOOK as subscribers for 30+ yrs. Wouldn't hesitate to tell neighbors, family, friends to use them. BTW, our techs were Bobby Ramirez (estimator/inspector/crew leader) and helper was Tyler Tippett. I found out that DVGUYS is a small mom/pop firm based in Fredericksburg. But, their home-garaged techs/trucks are here in Northern Virginia. They also serve Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Charlottesville, RVA etc. But, I don't think they serve Maryland or DC at this time?? Now, our job was more extensive than many homeowners need. But, they were the only ones that did not say: "oh, we don't replace ducts." For the average customer they do the Dryer Vent cleanings like Brush & Rod, vacuum lint traps etc. Their website shows that they also service commercial properties like laundromats, apartments, condos as well. We're finally glad to get rid of our old water-filled lint-catcher bucket from home depot, not to mention all those quarters for the coin-operated dryers!!!
