I had used H&F Services for several years. It is a small operation, but I had gotten to know personally the owner/operator and his wife and like them both. This year, when I called about a heating check-up, I got a quick response for the visit but a very unpleasant surprise re: the cost. The previous year I paid $49.95; this year H&F asked for $149.95, with nothing special done. H&F brought price down to $129, but that was still almost three times what I paid a year before. No explanation.
