Twin Air is an UNETHICAL business using illegal BAIT and SWITCH tactics after gaining access to your home. Twin Air sets low standards for integrity and customer service and fully meet their standard. WHAT I ASKED FOR: Cleaning of my HVAC system - a dual zone AC/gas furnace, with an external heat pump and ac compressor with an AC/emergency electric heater in the attic. WHAT THEY PROMISED: A service contract covering the entire HVAC system (as described above) for $200 annually, which would include cleaning and servicing the AC condenser coil, now, this fall and again next Spring along with system maintenance of all other parts. WHAT THEY DELIVERED: The old classic (and illegal) Bait-and-switch: Henry says, yea, I know you were promised it would cost $200, but it's really going to cost $300. After only checking the filter, Henry goes on to say, "yea, I'm sorry there must have been a misunderstanding. The person you spoke to at the office must have thought you had a multi fuel system - sorry. WHAT I DID: 1. I told them bait-and-switch is an illegal and unethical business practice. That I was willing to go along with a service contract for $200, because it included cleaning the system, while also covering future maintenance, but charging me $300 was bad business. I asked them to make it right - Henry calls 'the office'. He informs me he can't perform what was promised, but offers to charge me $115 for a diagnostic service. I asked if the diagnostic service would include cleaning the compressor coil, Henry replies "no, if that was required, it would cost extra." 2. I promise to post a scathing review to inform others to run far-far away from Twin Air. Even when given the opportunity to make it right, they failed. 'Twin Air - Setting the lowest standard and proudly reaching it!'
