We worked with Gerry to replace our deck, which had fallen into disrepair. Our deck is shaded for most of the year and was retaining a lot of moisture, so we were looking for a Trex/composite solution to help with durability and keep it easy to clean. We reached out to two other companies to get quotes and were discouraged by the pricing, but Gerry ended up coming in well below the other estimates despite using the same materials. Due to the lower cost, we opted to spend a little extra to screen-in half of our deck. Gerry worked with us on colors and materials and provided everything we needed to seek approval from our HOA. Communication was a little slow initially, but we knew that he ran a smaller operation and set our expectations accordingly. Once work began, the crew was punctual, courteous, and worked diligently to meet each of the inspection deadlines. We're thrilled with the final result, and have gotten tons of compliments on the work. We've referred him to several friends, and now finally enjoy hosting guests in our outdoor space!

Our old wood deck was sinking, was no longer level, and had begun pulling away from the house. It was located at our first level back door, but adjacent to a retaining wall that protected a lower cement basement patio. This is the place on our property that gets the most water flow from a rainfall, so we wanted it done right. Since we really needed to replace the failing deck, we decided to go ahead and enlarge it to a 12 x 8 foot (TREX transcend) deck on the back of the house so we’d have room for a few seats and a small table or two. The new deck looks beautiful, and "completes" the back of the house. Pro Deck Installers did excellent, beautiful work and I highly recommend them! When they started the work, I asked how long it would take them, and the foreman told me 7-10 days. However, the crew that built our deck worked with only lunch breaks for a total of three days to finish it. Two days with snow and rainy weather interrupted them when they had only the steps to complete, so that third short day was done after the weekend, with the inspection early the next morning, which made it nine days total. With better weather might have been only four days. They were great about “follow-up” because immediately after completion of the deck we had a big rainfall that showed we had some issues with rainwater flowing around the new, larger deck and down toward the basement patio. Note, that we had not elected for any extra landscaping or gravel, etc., though I suspected something more would be needed, especially with the larger deck. The day after inspection a follow-up person came by the see if everything was OK, and if we were happy with the work, and he realized we needed some more help. I called the owner Gerry and sent him photos. He came out again to see what the problems were. We scheduled them to come out to do some additional work to resolve the rainwater flow issues. For this we received a second estimate, since rock, grading, and landscaping were needed. The next week a different crew came out and did that work in one (long) day that ended with the addition of new sod after grading had been done. Gerry, the owner gave us the time and information we needed to get exactly what we wanted. The two crews that worked in our yard were experienced, skilled, hard-working and I would say meticulous about everything they did. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and hope to be able to get them back to build a small patio in the near future.
