While the staff is friendly and service-oriented, we had a disappointing experience purchasing a trombone from the Oakton Music and Arts location last year. We purchased a used student model for our son who was just starting out on the instrument. From the start, it had issues so we had to bring it back for repairs. While the problem was improved, it wasn't fixed. We decided to try to live with it. A few months later, a soldered joint that holds the instrument together completely gave out. We were left with a lemon that they would not cover the cost to repair. We ended up going elsewhere to purchase a better horn at a more fair price which has worked out much better for our son. Not recommended.
