My pest control company told me that I had rodents in my attic and of course they proposed replacing the insulation - at a relatively high cost. I then obtained several estimates, all from companies rated positively by Checkbook. The estimate from Capital Insulation was comprehensive and addressed all of the work needed and included work on ALL of my attic. A couple of contractors didn't want to deal with a portion of my attic over a sloped ceiling, so only proposed part of the job. Other contractors didn't propose to the recently revised building code requirement for R-49 and proposed providing less insulation depth. Capital Insulation showed up promptly early in the morning to try and beat the July heat, and after removal of the old insulation, then spent a considerable time sealing all of the air leakage points between the walls, around light fixtures, and places where holes had been cut to run wiring. This was all done with spray foam before the new insulation was installed. That type of sealing wasn't a building code requirement when my house was built, but was a big portion of the work, and they did a very thorough job. They also applied spray disinfectant to the areas soiled by rodents. They recognized that some of my ceiling light fixtures were not rated for insulation contact, and so they installed covers over those fixtures to address that issue They also noted the presence of an uninsulated water pipe leading to a shower and made sure that it was properly insulated. They just completed the job today. I am very pleased with Capital Insulation, and the work they did on my home, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Outstanding job from first contact to completion. All employees I had contact with were efficient, professional and friendly. I had a couple of questions regarding the estimate (which was both lower in cost and greater in detail than others I received) and they were answered promptly and clearly. Installation went very smoothly, took less time than I thought it would, and the cleanup was excellent. The initial estimate was both lower in cost and greater in detail than others I received. I highly recommend this company.
