I have had a service contract with R. A. Dobson for more than 25 years. They have installed two heating systems for me. The HVAC system is serviced by various personnel so the type of service I feel I receive is entirely dependent on that individual. The most recent service person was new to the firm and I thought was excellent.

We have used R.A. Dobson for over 40 years. In all those years, we haven't had a bad technician. Their employees are well-educated, courteous, and very good at explaining what the problem is, and how it will be fixed. R.A. Dobson will never let you down.

I had used Dobson for 20+ years, but have decided to switch. I had always been happy with their quality of work, but recently I think they have adopted a more sales-oriented philosophy. I first noticed it when my A/C went out several years ago, and the tech convinced me that I needed to replace the entire system for many thousands of dollars. I trusted them and went for it. More recently, during a fall inspection, they identified a problem with a part under warranty. They said the part was free, but replacing it would be excessive. They recommended replacing the entire furnace for over $10k. The next company I called had a different prognosis.
