Had the company come for an estimate to rebuild my deck. After measuring the deck I was given a price. The company was unwilling to provide any detail as to how they arrived at the price. I was told that it was company policy not to provide the details. I was told they did not want me to compare the details with other company estimates. After giving me a price with no details, I was told that if I sign a contract on the spot they would reduce the price by $6,000. Why if I sign on the spot is the price lower. Seems the same price could be given a couple of weeks later.
