On the advice of a trusted structural engineer, we selected Altamira from a short list of recommended contractors. The project involved replacing a retaining wall and part of the foundation, along with rebuilding the entrance to a soft-story garage.
Supervision was excellent, with the owner on site almost all the time. He kept our long-term satisfaction and future repair costs in mind, alerting us to important issues that intersected with the contracted work, including a slowly leaking main sewer line and corroded 1930s drain pipes that were likely to fail.
He was completely transparent about our options and had productive discussions with the engineer, garage door installer, and plumber to help ensure the best outcome. We appreciated his focus on quality, communication, and long-term value.
