Recommended with reservations. After much research I decided to replace my aging redwood decks (nearly 25 years of age and 1800 sq. ft.) with Trex decking. Trex website categorizes its best builders with a 'platinum' rating. Next comes a 'gold" category which is C&J's rating. They sent me their best crew. They were hardworking and very good, but not perfect. I have a very discerning eye for finish work, being the son a of a carpenter. I tend to notice details like how tight a miter cut is and the seam on butt joints. When a customer is laying out over well over $50,000, all aspects of the finished product should be stellar. They weren't, not quite.
