I'd love to have a Nursery like this in Howard County, but this isn't too far a drive. Always my go-to in Spring.

If you want a garden center with superior service, and good prices, this is the place to visit. The big box store garden centers don't quite cut it with us.

For the most part, their products are overpriced and don't always have the results I am looking for whether annuals, perennials, etc. Don't shop there as often. Too many bad experiences.

Of all the nurseries that I go to that is: Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville Md. ( My favorite) ; Patuxent on rt. 301( little pricey/ little deals, but good varieties) ; Beheke in Beltsville Md. (good discounts); Sunny side off RT. 32, ( good selections & price but far out ); and Trent Hill off 216, ( good selections & price also far out and new). Said all that to say that Meadows Farm in Burtonsville Md. is my all time favorite for price comparison; Wednesdays discounts for seniors, (which Homestead has too); varieties ~ in which you can purchase a small tree under 100.00 and they have a weekly on-line ad that boasts what's on sale. All mentioned have their unique brands for keeping my business but Meadows Farm is my all time favorite with Homestead right behind them, even though they are a large nursery with little higher price but Super for the kids as well.

Hands down the best garden center in the area for quality AND price.

Definitely better than HomeDepot but not a luxury outlet. Have had mixed results planting their annuals. Some make it. Some do not.

Meadow Farm is in the middle between the low cost/low quality of Home Depot and the high cost/high quality of Merrifield. We get most of our garden supplies and plants from them.

timing is everything with Meadows Farms; they receive good quality plants, this location seems to do a decent job of tending through the season; if you join the VIP program and buy material on sale the quality and price can't be beat; I went there for the fall clearance sales this past season and the prices were fantastic - all material is leafing out and looking good. selection is common material and not great variety, but it helps the budget on your basics, mass plantings and a few specimens

Good products at competitive prices but best for those that prefer self service

You get excellent customer service from knowledgeable staff; however, you pay for it as the prices are high. Want advice on selecting something special, you go to Meadows Farms or a similar establishment; you know what you want, you go to Home Depot or Lowes.

Decent selection. Staff could be more pleasant and knowledgeable. Leesburg location often doesn't have enough good stock to pick from.

Wider selection of plants, but prices can be very high and checking out is slow.
