An ear (temple) piece on my John Vavartos, no longer manufactured, frames had broken. Gio Jajanashvili looked them over and showed me a solid pair of replacement earpieces (1x for one or 2x for both).
Price was about the cost of new frames, but it was a solid fix and done promptly.

This one is hard to rate as I've always gotten the most unbelievable quality service from the optician, Dr. Matini, who always always nails my prescription. The optician services are reasonably priced, but the glasses & lenses are super expensive. Georgetown Optician is owned by the Voorthuis family (just learned this this year). The family is very helpful, but the floor staff are not very customer service oriented -- often arrogant and dismissive. I think if I am spending $1200 on a new pair of glasses and have been a client for 10-15 years, that I should get more polite service than I have. Dr. Matini and the family are very friendly, polite, and customer-oriented. Some of the floor staff were really unpleasant to interact with. For example, when I was asked if I had a case for the glasses I was buying I said that I couldn't remember (I was reusing the frames), the sale clerk made a point of saying loudly, "I'll get you a GENERIC one." (She could easily I have said, with a smile -- is that too much to ask for? I'll get you another one. I would've never known that it was GENERIC.) The floor staff seem to be snobby or coldly efficient, but certainly not customer-oriented or friendly.
