We found Ciraulo & Sons through a Checkbook Chicago search and were very happy with their service. I've also posted this review on Google: We had an excellent experience with Ciraulo & Sons Roofing and I heartily recommend them. For starters, on initial contact, owner Peter Ciraulo answers the phone himself and listens to his clients’ needs. He then arrives in person to assess the job and discuss options. Stunningly, unlike most roofing companies, he does not ask for any money until the project is completed. We replaced a nearly 100 year old concrete tile roof with architectural asphalt shingles, due to the prohibitive cost of a new tile roof. Several roofing companies we called for quotes were unwilling or unable to deal with the removal of the old heavy tile. Ciraulo & Sons not only removed the tile, but did it rapidly and cleanly, leaving our yard and plants unscathed. Peter’s daughter stayed on site the entire time to supervise the job. Some of their workers have decades of experience and one worker hand-crafted new copper flashing to fit our brick chimney. The roof looks excellent and we have no regrets about not replacing it with tile. The entire job on our 2 story house was completed in 2 days. From a cost perspective, we obtained multiple quotes for the job, and Peter’s price fell competitively right in the middle. We chose Ciraulo & Sons because we felt confidence that the company would do the job well. We were not disappointed.

Last year, after researching 5 roofing companies, we chose Ciraulo. they replaced the roof, gutters, soffit, and downspouts. The price was right in the middle of all the other estimates. They did a great job. Their staff was quick and professional. The owners visited the site several times and made sure we were satisfied with the results.

Peter came all the way out to my house, looked it over (inside & out) and gave me an honest evaluation. Unfortunately, that did not include using his services though I wished I could have hired him for anything and everything else I needed for house maintenance! I learned a lot that day - not only about roofs, attics and gutters but also about other factors which greatly affect the performance and health of your roof as well. It was very generous and kind of him to spend the time that he did regardless of the fact there was no business here for him. I know who I will be calling for my roofing needs when they do arise.
