When I called to ask for a quote the person at the phone was very informative and helpful. We setup an appointment when I was able to meet around my work schedule. I met with Bob who showed up on time (more than I can say about the other company I got a quote from who blew me off with some bone head excuse). Bob took the time to answer all my questions, he walked around the house with me detailing where the gutters and downspouts would be mounted taking down every detail including which directions the elbow at the bottom would go so that the job was done perfectly to my specification, all of this was in a sketch at the bottom of the contract. We have many trees overhanging the house so Bob recommended covers to keep the leaves out. He was conscientious of our budget in his recommendation, not trying to push pricier options and in the end he earned our confidence and business. The office called to tell me when they were coming to do the install.

Had new gutters with leaf guard and downspouts installed Oct 2009. I am half-satisfied. Wish there was an option of "sorta recommend". Two odd, unsatisfactory things: (1) When NEGK tore down our old gutters, they found the old fascia was very rotted (which I was warned about and not surprised.) We agreed to contract with NEGK to put up new fascia (they were kinda pricey). They put up PRIMED BUT NOT PAINTED fascia, and then proceeded to attach the gutter to it. My painting contractor, who came in a week later, took down the gutters because he stated that unpainted fascia are unacceptable, even if they are primed. When I asked NEGK if they could put back up the gutters, they said no (liability, warrantly etc.). So they charged us AGAIN for putting up new gutters, a month after they had put up the first ones. (2) After initial installation, during even moderate rain, significant leakage from a one-foot length elbow part of the downspout. Called and requested they repair. They came out and repaired - I am about 90% satisfied with the fix. The same area still drips a bit in moderate rain, but a significant improvement over initial. The rest of the gutters are performing well - as expected.
