Need Pump drilled our original well over 30 years ago, and we never had a problem in all those years. Since our driveway is especially difficult in winter, we decided to proactively replace the pump and called Need Pump without obtaining other bids. They replaced the pump with one having a higher horse power rating than the original and claimed it was the best one available. They also replaced the pressure tank. The cost was substantial, and I can't compare it with alternatives. But if the new pump lasts another 30 years, the cost will be more than reasonable.
