High prices -- two other contractors for different projects (roof, electrician) believed we overpaid, and I thought price pretty high. The work is great, however. We got 3 bids for this project -- $7,000 (didn't want permit, didn't want to remove concrete steps, which is code, wanted us to fetch materials), this one about $16,000, and another for $35,000 (whopper!) This is for a deck that is about 5 by 10, with 5 steps about 6' wide. Wild pricing out there.
