Our front doorway was in deep need of repair and refurbish. We wanted to keep the original, late 1940s vintage door, which was in good shape; the rest needed an overhaul. JG Landscape, which has done much landscape/hardscape work for us, strongly recommended Dickson, the owner of Abel Home Repair. They were spot on. Dickson handled our project himself and brought attention to detail and care for quality a craftsman would do for his own home project. He removed/replaced our external door frame, sanded/repainted/reset our door, installed weather stripping (we had terrible drafts), installed a video door bell (more complicated than expected), replaced our porch light and painted the door frame, door and threshold. To top it off, he embedded a Turkish evil eye in our threshold. We have been thrilled w/ the final outcome. The project, w/ unexpected complications and a couple of adjusted work orders, stretched from two days to about six. Dickson maintained his high quality work throughout the entire process. We would recommend him strongly and with no reservations.
