Spent several months trying to pin this contractor down on costs and their responsibilities. Every time I asked for a detailed, line itemization, I got a different answer. On a big job (around $150,000) this is critical - as much as $20,000 difference. I finally passed and moved on.

"We went out of our way to accommodate this senior citizen with a detailed estimate.

Each subcontractor gave him a detailed separate estimate.

We even broke work down room by room.

Customer claimed he could not find our emails so I sent them again.

Wanted us to discount the job 35 percent and told him we could not.

The he got revengeful."

Optima Designs was not the least expensive contractor I considered. But their reviews and references convinced me to engage them. They just completed the remodeling of my main bath, hallway bath, and powder room. It took a long time to get on their calendar, but the scheduling worked out to my benefit. I could not be more pleased with the final results and the entire team on site -- they were extremely competent, personable and respectful of my home. We had a couple of hiccups, but their resolution was reasonable and appropriate. They provided excellent advice when I sought it. If I have another project, Optima will be the first contractor I contact.

Easy to work with. Clear in laying out options and then exactly what they would do and the associated cost. Crew was SO EASY to get on with especially the foreman - Edgar. that had been broken down for He and his crew were exceptionally insightful in putting back together a closet that had been broken down so the ceiling could be replaced and the walls repainted. They had nothing to go on (because I forgot to take "before" shots. They were remarkable in figuring out exactly how to reconstruct the closet. Gordon, the owner was always easily available during all phases of the project. This made communication so much easier.
