After doing extensive research and locating the used vehicle I wanted at Pohanka Honda, and a repeat customer, I was very disappointed in the service I received. The salesman quoted a higher sales price than was advertised and when I mentioned the discrepancy they then offered the website price. After completing the negotiations, related details and agreeing upon the price and financing, the finance officer attempted to con me into purchasing a maintenance plan. He even stated that the sales floor staff wasn't completely aware of all of the costs of the purchase and again pushed me to purchase the plan. When I refused and indicated I would not purchase the car, only then did he very uncordially acknowledge that I wasn't required to purchase the plan. During this process, I stated multiples times to both the salesman and the finance officer that I was transferring my current tags to the new purchase. A few weeks later I was notified by the dealer that my brand new tags were ready for pick up. I was very upset because it was in direct conflict in what I stated I wanted and as a result of the finance officer's intentional failure to include a copy of my current auto registration in the sales package as required to DMV (as stated to me by the administrative staff member forwarding the tag applications), my special tags (issued to me indicating the fraternity I am a member of (for almost 40 years) had been cancelled and no longer available to me. Those special tags issued to me years ago were cancelled and voided because of the finance officer's very unprofessional conduct. When I spoke with the finance about this omission, he blamed the administrative staff. I have purchased two new vehicles from this dealer and this third vehicle, a used model, is the third and last vehicle I will purchase from this dealership. I also will never recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle, new or used.
