I took my brand new 10 week old puppy to this practice and had the misfortune of dealing with the owner of the practice, Dr. Jeff Wolcoff. This practice never performs any procedure (including routine vaccinations) in front of the pet owner. They are rushed away to another room away from the owner. When my puppy began experiencing constant bouts of diarrhea, Dr. Wolcott informed me that she had an infection which would require that she be on antibiotics for the rest of her life. He then made the claim that one of his dogs, as well as several of his patients, had the same problem and all would require antibiotics for their entire lives. If that wasn't bad enough, he made the claim that the antibiotic she would require was only available exclusively through his practice. I was then charged $140.00 for an 80 day supply. I later went online and discovered that the antibiotic was available at a few online animal pharmacies. Not only was it untrue that the antibiotic could only be obtained through his practice, but anyone with a small degree of common sense knows that if a human or animal has an infection, you search for the cause to correct but you do NOT keep any living thing on a lifetime of antibiotics. This was purely a method to make money at the expense of my pet. I thankfully got to an excellent vet who determined that the problem was a food allergy. After spending nearly 2+ years feeding my puppy food for sensitive stomachs, I am happy to report that she is diarrhea free and able to consume regular adult dog food. I now realize that there were several red flags and warning signs about this veterinary practice that I failed to recognize. They include: 1) never treating the pet in the presence of the pet owner. 2) Never being able to choose the practice veterinarian I wished to see (every single time I visited this practice and requested a specific vet, I was told they were unavailable and I was "assigned" to Dr. Walcoff. 3) Insisting my puppy would need to be on an antibiotic for her entire life and that it could only be obtained through Bennett Creek. 4) The practice is located in a fairly new upscale building, however the parking lot has never been paved. If it was just a gravel lot I wouldn't think twice about it but it is not covered with gravel but consists of medium sized pebbles and stones with sizable potholes throughout. It begs the question as to whether there are financial shortages that prevents the parking lot from being completed ( and may be a factor in insisting that my puppy be on antibiotics for the remainder of her life which can only be obtained from this practice ).

Dr. Dean sent my cat home WITH THE WRONG MEDICATION. THEY REFUSED TO SEND THE CORRECT MEDICATION UNTIL I SENT BACK THE WRONG MEDICATION THEY GAVE ME. I LIVE IN ROCKVILLE AND SO IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. MY CAT DIED THE NEXT DAY FROM A VIRUS THAT ANOTHER VET IN FREDERICK, WONDERFUL VET, DIAGNOSED PROPERLY AND SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN ALIVE EXCEPT FOR THESE INCOMPETENT VETS. SHE SUFFERED SO BAD SHE LAID IN HER LITTER BOX AND LAID DOWN IN COLD POURING RAIN AND WOULD NOT LET ME TOUCH HER! THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD! THIS VET ESSENTIALLY TORTURED HER FOR 2 DAYS. I CALLED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AS I AM A PASTOR FOR CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER AND THEY CURSED AT ME AND NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS.

A great option as an emergency vet. Their vets are excellent, and they charge significantly less than vets close to D.C. For example, an x-ray is a fraction of the price because they read the x-rays themselves rather than bring in radiologists, who are totally unnecessary to read an X-ray (ask any doctor).
