This shop is outstanding. It was highly recommended to me by a friend, and I've been very pleased with their work. Their prices seem medium for Columbia – but more importantly, I know I can trust them not to overcharge, do work that isn't needed (or worse,pretend to do work!), or otherwise inflate the cost from what's in the book. I'd much rather deal with a shop that charges fairly than one with low stated prices that then finds ways to make more – and they will try to save you money where they can. Most recently I went out to my car one morning to find my catalytic converter had been stolen overnight. I called them frantically, and Ron said to bring it right in. He had me call my insurance company (I hadn't even thought of that, but a theft of something on or in the car is covered by homeowner's insurance). After I reported the theft Ken's friendly shuttle driver took me home, and Ron worked with the insurance company, (which originally offered about half of what the cost was, and I would have been on the hook for about $2000). That took most of the afternoon; they finally came to an agreement on cost late in the afternoon, and Ron said they'd have it ready for me in the morning. I ended up paying only my deductible, and was back in my car before noon. Ken's is a family-run company with a long-term presence in the community. It's not the very cheapest service you can find, but it's absolutely the *best* service you'll find.
