I have used Crystal Exteriors twice for roofing (I was very pleased), but this time for a new entry door. Edgar is the partner that manages this side of the business and handles the initial customer meeting, ordering and initial measuring- he is very polite, detailed, and knows his product line intimately- he is a pleasure to work with. Absolutely no salesmanship/pressure- not what this company is about. His daughter handles the contract and payment portion. They carry one line of high quality doors - ProVia - so this is probably not the company you want to use if "any door will do". They have one install team, with ProVia-trained installers, who take great pride in their work. Pricing is very competitive, since they have no salesforce or showroom to cover. I got another highly rated company's quote for exactly the same door, and Crystal's was 20% less. Love my new door- it is a large fiberglass (indistinguishable from wood) double door with sidelights on both sides, and they got it all done in a day.

It took us awhile (~ 3 months) to finally make a decision to change our entire entryway, but Mr. Li was patient in answering all our questions and let's us take our time in figuring out all the options. He was never pushy and always provided through responses to our questions. Even the lead manager that came on install day was extremely helpful and walked us through the process onsite. Definitely recommend for just being honest people with no pushy sales gimmick.

I interviewed several door installers before selecting Washington Checkbook's top-rated door installers. Mr. Li is not your typical business owner, who is only intent on making a sale. He provided an honest evaluation of my current doors. He understood that the doors must conform to my HOA's strict requirements. He answered my questions, offered suggestions, but never pressured me to make a sale. From Mr. Li's initial visit to the seamless dealings with Jessica, who competently manages the office and the superb installers - all were exceptional. Ivan and his team of installers were pleasant, responsive to questions and tidied everything. Moreover Ivan told me to contact him with any subsequent questions about the doors. Mr. Li and Jessica did a final walk through during which they provided more suggestions for the care of my new doors. Jessica even reminded me not to forget to register my doors. For these reasons, I know that I selected the best door installers in the DMV and agree that Crystal Exteriors merits Washington Checkbook's top ranking.
