I have used Rowan Heating & Air for what seems like forever, going back three generations of Rowans. I recently had my aging system replaced and they gave honest advice and performed great work. I recommend them highly.

They tried to fix 3 jobs for me over the course of 2 years (ending last year). They took multiple tries to stop exhaust from returning from my heat/hot water, 2 trips to fix an a/c issue (they didn't test the first time, leading to a loose wire disconnecting), and on the last one they actually caused damage and left me without heat or hot water over a weekend in November. Then they charged me for all their time at a cost of over $1,000. I asked them to negotiate the bill (as I switched to another contractor) and they were nonresponsive other than saying sure, we'll follow up soon (and then silence). Finally they threatened to report me to collections despite being the nonresponsive party.

I read this recent review and its SPOT ON as of December 2022. Not the least expensive service provider, but the staff (which is composed of family members and skilled employee technicians) is uniformly competent, they're very responsive when you need immediate service, and they stand by their work. The only thing I would add, they don't do weekend on call service unless its a massive emergency, water gushing type of thing, but they do listen to their messages if left over the weekend and will call you back if it meets their bar, otherwise they respond first thing Monday.
