The floor that was put in is adequate but the finishing was terrible. They were in a hurry to get to the next job. BUT from the start I insisted that they finish the job by putting in shoe moldings and that the baseboards and shoe moldings be painted. The shoe molding has nail holes in it, wasn't painted well, and doesn't fit properly. The baseboards were not considered by them to be part of the job although they never told me that even when I showed them what I wanted when we looked at these two items the shoe molding and baseboard in my dining room. There were a bunch of young Latinos doing the job, and some were skilled, but some were not skilled and didn't know what they were doing. This after telling me that they had people who had worked for them for years doing the work. There was constant friction among those running the show from Gaithersburg. It was not a happy experience but the floor itself is adequate. I'm going to have to hire someone to fix the shoe molding or replace it and to paint the shoe molding and the baseboards. Very sloppy job. Also one of the young guys doing the work cut the carpet too close at a door and I had to hire a carpet man to come stretch it and get it to fit.
